Mom's Biscuits

Ingredients:

2 cups of all-purpose flour
7-8 tablespoons of shortening
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup buttermilk

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.

Combine all dry ingredients into a mixing bowl.  Add buttermilk and combine SOFTLY with a fork until you have large ball that sticks together.

Sprinkle flour on a work surface and pat down dough until about a half-inch thick.  Cut out biscuits and place on baking sheet; combined scraps and repeat until all dough is gone.

Place baking sheet in heated over for 10 minutes or until the tops are a nice golden brown.
